Totally Stoked!!

I am so "Old School" when it comes to blogging..... :) I just keep thinking, "Why has it taken me this long to create one  of these!" This is so fun! So I am totally stoked about figuring out how to make my blog more "me" and I did it! I didn't even have to ask my tech-no husband to help me!!! There are still some more things I would like to figure out, but I will get there....eventually! As for now, I am going to relish in this moment.........awww....that felt good!
So I have been extremely behind in my blogging, but Tis the Season for hectic times right?! Anyway I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, as did we and hopefully I can get some pictures up of the last couple weeks! As for the upcoming two months...boy am I busy! My little Sweden turns TWO on New Years Eve and if you know anything about the way birthday parties go in this house they do NOT go unseen! It's a big deal around here when you turn another year older!! I am looking forward to spending some extra time with my baby girl and of course have a whole day of just plain girl stuff!! yeah! Then that night we are off to a New Year's Eve party! About five days later is my lover buns (that's my husband :)) BIG 30th birthday! Of course a fun shin dig for him! Then in the first week of February a ski trip with my lovely family and you can't forget Valentine's Day!!!! That's a big one! Oh and the whole month of February I am contributing my time in this fabulous new store, CUPCAKES, that's opening here in Winfield!!! Thought up by my sister Willow! February is our 'work' month and we open in March! And finally a fantabulous baby shower which I am so honored to host for my other sister Amber!! Boy it will sure be busy but I am so excited! Now that the Christmas has sadly passed I will get back on the wagon of posting every day! Tomorrow I am out to shop for my babies birthday! Until tomorrow...!

Shop Til You Drop!

On this weird and crazy Wednesday my mom and my sister and I met each other in Wichita and went Christmas shopping! It was so much fun! We have been planning this trip for years and we finally did it! Yahoo!

I missed my babies so much so when I got home I decided to make them a festive little treat for those cute little munchkins! We have palm tree veggies and grilled cheese and spinach sandwiches! Delicious!

I think I got this creative little tree idea from delicious ambiguity blog! Another fantastic one to follow! The children just gobbled this right up!

Until tomorrow!

Christmas Treats!

On this fine Tasty Tuesday we made some yummy Christmas treats! For the first time ever in my kitchen I conquered making Carmel popcorn!! I found the recipe online at allrecipes.com and gave it a whirl! It is soooo good! Really easy to make and perfect for Christmas gifts! The other recipe I tried was Chocolate popcorn. It was also very tasty, but I forgot to add the vanilla so it tasted a little bit bitter. I will definitely be making those again very soon!

Chocolate popcorn.....this one looks a bit like dog food, but it sure doesn't taste like dog food!  ;)

Make Something Monday!

Hmmm.....what should we make? What should we make? With all of the fun Christmas crafts to do it is hard to decide what we should make! This is what we did for today! We got a piece of green construction paper and put our hand in white paint and made a print on the green paper. Then we cut out a Santa face, hat and eyes and glued them on. And finally glued cotton balls on his hat to make some fur! The children loved it and it was so much fun!

All of the Santa pictures turned out great! Indie's picture was especially cute because it was so tiny! Until tomorrow!...

Christmas Dress Up!

Saturday we went to a Christmas concert and we got all dressed up! I wanted to get a family picture, but it didn't work out :( Soon....very soon I will get everyone all dressed up again and get that family picture ;)!

Indie was of course.....fast asleep!

I don't have any pictures to share for today but the children loved watching the movie with glasses on! It was to dark in there to get a picture :) Until tomorrow!...

Tidy Up Thursday!

Today we cleaned up messes all over the house and made pictures for our two families of the week and prepped them to be mailed off! We have such a big family on both my husband and mine sides that I decided to incorporate a day in our Tot School where we choose a family on my side and a family on my husbands side. We pray for them all week and then on Thursdays we write a letter telling them what we have been doing! I think it's a good way to keep in touch with so many family members. I hope for it to continue on throughout our schooling years!

For our first family letters we made pictures of little moose's by tracing their foot for the face and their hands for the antlers. Then we finished the pictures off by coloring them and writing a note on each letter. Super fun!

The day was so nice that we had to get out and go for a walk! We had an interesting adventure! I'll let the video speak for itself!

What a fabulous day with my little trio! Until tomorrow!

Weird Science Wednesday!

Today we chose a fun project, it wasn't yellow, but the children still loved it! They were little capsules that we put in hot water and they grew out to be different shapes of bugs made out of sponges!

We later used the sponges with paint and made bug pictures with Christmas green paint! Sweden got extra creative and smeared the green paint all over her face!

We also baked some really yummy cookies this morning! They were called Coconut Crunch cookies! So good that we wanted to eat the whole batch!

Tasty Tea Party Tuesday!

Today's Tot School went much smoother. Sweden was especially excited when I told her what we were doing today! On Tuesdays the children get to make something yellow in the kitchen with Mommy and then we eat it at our tea party that afternoon! We decided to have Lemon tea with a Christmas crumpet! It sure was yummy! Of course Sweden had to invite all of her little friends to come and join us!

Make Something Monday!

I am going to play a little catch up! I know it's Thursday but I have ALOT to share from this week!! So we are starting with Make Something Monday! Monday was our first official day of  Tot School! It went great! A little rocky, but I know the children are going to love it as we make it part of our routine. The theme for this week is the color Yellow so we are learning everything about yellow! On Mondays we make a craft that is all about our theme. Monday we did some mosaic art  with yellow bananas and a yellow sun! Safari cut little paper squares and then they both got to color and glue their pictures! They were so proud to hang them on the wall!

We had some tasty snacks later that day! Getting creative in the kitchen is always fun! Safari and Sweden love it and so do I! The creation that came out this time was a Jungle Happy Face! A slice of cheese broke into thirds, topped with baby carrots for crazy hair. Sandwich meat for the face with dallops of ranch for the eyes, and olive halves for the lovely smile! They squealed with delight!

curly sue!

My sweet little Sweden and I played beauty parlor last night and tied her hair up in rags!

She looked like curly Sue this morning!
Here Safari is showing off his really FAST race cars!
We decorated the house for Christmas today so we ended the festivities with some extra special dessert.....pumpkin ice cream!
Until tomorrow!

teacups & warrior kings

Here at our house we have tea parties and warrior kings that fight off crocodiles and not to mention the little coo's from Baby Indie! Today was a blessed day filled with the scent of lemon while cleaning my house from head to toe with my two little ones following close behind me.  Safari and Sweden set up little houses when they play and of course I had to get a picture! Safari builds the house and Sweden brings the family of little dollies. Every morning during "Silly Time" they pull some toys out and let their imaginations roll! My Warrior King had quite the outfit today and later on tonight he came running into the room with Sweden's PINK PJ"S! He thought he was so funny! So we had to get a picture of that too! I guess you could say he gets his silliness from his daddy! I love the days that filled with little lip kisses, tea parties with dollies that can have conversations with you, and make believe crocodiles that gobble up Captain Hook! I love being a stay at home mommy! Think of all that I would be missing out on! Until tomorrow...

And no, this isn't baby Indie that he is holding! Safari begged me to take a picture of him with Sweden in her pj's.....what a silly boy!

Time Flies!

Wow! Time has flown by! It's almost been a whole week since I've written.....GRRR.....I'm failing already! Oh well! This last weekend my momma and I got a ton accomplished! We made a Warrior King cape and airplane wallet out of denim for Safari for Christmas.....

and we got blocks of a TWO fleece rag quilts that I am making for Safari and Sweden for Christmas! Baby Indie received one from his Auntie Laura that is just adorable! I actually got the idea from her, thanks Auntie! :) I will have some pictures of those quilts once I get the time to finish them!

As for today.....it was a FANTABULOUS day! We made pictures of turkeys by tracing our hands and coloring them......too cute!
  1.

That made us hungry so we made Silly Face Apple Snacks! They are apple slices with chunky peanut butter, raisins for eyes, and celery for the smile! Safari said, " Mommy, I ate the lips right off of him and now they are in my belly!" I am definitely writing that snack idea as a must! They loved it!

Then we had planned to go to the park because it was so beautiful and sunny then the rain came and it got really cold! So we decided to make pumpkin and snowman sugar cookies! YUM! I don't think I will attempt icing them though.....probably a huge sticky mess in my tiny kitchen!

As for my "Tot School"....I have so many plans and exciting things that I just can't wait to get pulled together! I will get pictures of that once I get that together too! Well, duty calls! Until tomorrow....

Day 2!

I spent this beautiful fall day with my darling sister and niece! I could not wait to get a moment to post something new! I would totally love to do the whole Julia & Julia movie where the main actress blogs every day about a new menu she tries! What fun! I am thinking I will blog everyday about my day spent with my children and the new fun and crazy games, crafts and adventures we come up with! Sounds exciting to me and I'm sure my 3 year old son, Safari, and my almost 2 year old girl, Sweden will be tickled pink with all of the big dreams I have piling up in my mind just waiting to be set free!! I plan on homeschooling my children so of course, as every homeschooling mother, is VERY anxious to get started! I plan on preparing this weekend, with the help of my crazy talented mother, a preschool curriculum involving, math, science, manners, singing, dancing, crafts, busy bags and a awesome organized schedule! We'll see how much I get accomplished! Until tomorrow!
